PHASES OF A SPLASH
A gold-plated brass ring modeled after the phenomena of a drop splashing on the surface of a liquid.
This model was designed entirely in Python using Michael Fogleman's SDF library and produced via 3D printing and lost wax casting. The form of the ring drew inspiration the analyses and illustrations of D'Arcy Wentworth Thompson's exceptional book On Growth and Form.
Double Pendulum
An oxidized silver pendant mapping the path of an unevenly weighted double pendulum.
The original path was developed in p5.js, branching off Dan Shiffman's exercise on simulating the path of a double pendulum. The data was then exported to Grasshopper and modified for 3D printing with Rhino3D.
